Corporate team entries have already surpassed last year’s total, which saw 70 teams enter.
The 2010 event take place on September 12 and through its Corporate Team Challenge it has appealed to businesses to use it as a cost-effective opportunity to help support one of Wales’ oldest charities.

“We’ve had a great response from staff in support of the HSBC Cardiff 10k run and from our participation in last year’s event believe that we can look forward to a highly enjoyable day.”
Chairman of the Cardiff 10k, Roy J Thomas, said “It is an effective way of team building and keeping the workforce fit. Some corporate teams are entering more than one team and businesses enjoy the day.

A record-breaking number of runners are expected to take part along a new city centre course, either raising money for charity or just for fun.
This year’s event will be launched by Welsh rugby legend Shane Williams on the 25th anniversary of the run.
British Lion Shane Williams said “I am just pleased to be able to support the race and encourage anyone thinking of running the 10K to set themselves a real challenge and get fit this summer. In last year’s event, teams were joined by professional runners and a number of celebrities, including Neath songbird Katherine Jenkins, a patron of Kidney Wales, former S4C presenter and new host of BBC’s The One Show, Alex Jones, and TV presenter and gardening expert Lynne Allbutt.
Entry for a corporate team costs £260 and includes a complimentary trade pitch space in the race day arena and post-race hospitality.
