Happy stakeholders will want to grow the business and the circle starts again. Admiral launched in January 1993, with 50 staff at it's Cardiff office with no customers and it has now 1,500 in Cardiff and is the third biggest car insurer in the UK. Admiral floated on the stock market in September 2004.
Admiral has been listed for the last nine years in the Sunday Times list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For, and for the last six years in the Financial Times list of 50 Best Workplaces in the UK and 100 Best Workplaces in the EU.
With Henry the other key player is David Stevens the Chief Operating Officer of the Company. He is a founder director of Admiral. Initially the Marketing Director. He joined Admiral in 1991 from McKinsey & Co. Prior to working for McKinsey & Co, he worked for Cadbury Schweppes in the United Kingdom and the United States. David has an MBA from Insead.
